Jabberwocky Media

It doesnt have to make sense!

History

Jabberwocky Media is a company that produces low budget internet sketches and independent films. Producing such great sketches as "Match.com" and "My Dick Up Top."

History

The company, created by Jack Satchell in 2004, intially produced posters for local bussinesses. However, soon we branched out to create graphic novels such as Baby-man and Man-Baby. The graphic novels were not as succsessful as we had initially hoped and so we soon abandond that career venture.

In 2004, the company was offered a chance to produce a short educational film which turned out to be a moderate succsess and showed the company to be capable in this field of media. We capitilised on this with a series of educational films that gained us media and public attention.

Our big brake, however, came in 2008 after we decided to launch a web sketch show appropriately named The Good Ship Jabberwocky. Before filming began, one of the main cast members, Jack 'Crazy Eyes' Sauntson, was fired due to creative differences and the project was put on hold. After several months of development and recasting, filming began. Though, on the first day of shooting, a decision was reached to put the project on hold and develop one sketch idea into a fully fledged show, and thus Pink Torpedo was born.

Having finished Pink Torpedo, the company is now focused on one off sketches.

In early 2009 JCE changed it's names to Jabberwocky Media.

Conflicts

During development of the first season of Pink Torpedo many conflicts arose, pushing the crew to their limits and almost haulting production of the series

The First such conflict occured when one member of the crew, Jack "Crazy Eyes" Sauntson, began claiming outrageous allegations about company creator, Jack Satchell. The conflict reached its boiling point after Sauntson failed to show up to filming, leaving many of the crew, quite literally, out in the rain. As a result of this Crazy Eyes was asked to leave Jack Crest Enterprises. However the owners are now on speaking terms with him again and he is even in talks to appear in The Good Ship Jabberwocky.

The second was weeks in the making and started when self proclaimed "star" of Pink Torpedo, Adam Spivey, let fame go to his head and began casting people without consent and setting filming dates without consultation with other members, much to the annoyance of the crew and most of the veiwers. Spivey beagn drinking heavily and abusing other cast members. The conflict reached its climax when Spivey, in an alcohol induced rage, struck two female members of the team, Jack Beavis and Kelly Avrilli, preventing them from filming for a short period of time. Spivey proceeded to expose himself infront of the camera and demanded it be in the final cut. Crew members attempted, in vain, to subdue Spivey who eventually collapsed while attempting to seduce Satchell.

The entire ordeal brought the future of Pink Torpedo and indeed Adam himself in question.

Trivia

  •  Being the method actor that he is, Jack Beavis lived as a woman for three weeks prior to the filming of Granny Beavis' Sexy Day Out.
  • During a rap battle scene in Granny Beavis' Sexy Day Out, that was eventually cut due to time constraints, Jack "Granny "Beevi" Beavis" Beavis got so caught up in the moment that he assaulted fellow cast member Jordan Richardson, Richardson was left in a questionable mental state after the attack which held up prodcution for several moments.
  • Just as prodcution of Granny Beavis' Sexy Day Out was coming to a close, Beavis suggested there be a love making scene between himself and fellow cast member Jordan Richardson. The scene was shot but never used.
  • During filming of Granny Beavis' Sexy Day Out, Beavis would often forget his lines and in an attempt to try and remember them he would play with himself, this is most evident in the interview scene.
  • Around 90% of all lines in any given video are improvised, the other 10% are love.
  • Beavis was offered a part in all of JCE's prodcutions to date, he only accepted Granny Beavis' Sexy Day Out.
  • The only cast member to have appeared in all JCE productions to date, in some form or another, is creator Jack Satchell. However Jordan Richardson has appeared in all but one.
  • If you pause each video at exactly 42 seconds in you will find a still image of Granny Beavis.
  • In every video to date there is at least one shot with a hidden letter in it, if you line all of the hidden letters up in chronolgical order it spells, "Granny Beavis' Sexy Day Out."
